WELCOME,
COACH PALMER.
Head coach announcedThe Saint John Loyalists are proud to announce Jim Palmer as our Head Coach! 👑🏀
Jim’s connection to basketball in Saint John runs more than 30 years deep. He began coaching with the Lancaster Minor Basketball Association in 1992 and has coached at virtually every level of the game — including serving as an Assistant Coach with the Saint John Mill Rats and Head Coach of the UNBSJ Seawolves.
In 1996, Jim founded Summer Jam Basketball Camp, which has become the longest-running basketball camp in Saint John. For more than three decades, Summer Jam has helped hundreds of young athletes discover, develop and fall in love with the game. ❤️🏀
But Jim’s impact goes far beyond the basketball court. An educator for 22 years and currently Principal of Bayside Middle School, Jim has spent his career working with and developing young people. He has also been deeply involved in minor basketball, serving on the boards of LMBA and RVBA and most recently helping develop local talent with ESJMBA.
His coaching resume includes provincial championship teams at St. Malachy’s High School, Fredericton High School, River Valley Middle School and River Valley Minor Basketball.
Now, Jim is ready to return to professional basketball.
“I’m excited to return to coaching professional basketball in Saint John and to help grow the sport I love.”
Please join us in welcoming our Head Coach…
